Why September is the New January...

My boyfriend and I went to Ibiza from 20th to 27th August. It felt like summer the day we left but as soon as we arrived home, I could sense that Autumn was arriving. Autumn is my favourite time of year, I adore the changing leaves, crisp, fresh air and cosying up under chunky knits and blankets.

The crisp air has somehow pressed the reset button for me. All of a sudden I feel more awake, motivated and inspired! Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels like this?!

I suddenly just wanted to start blogging again after months of being MIA, my head is filled with ideas for blog posts! I usually avoid sorting out my wardrobe and the room where I keep all my blogging bits, but I woke up this morning and blitzed them both! I've also decided to set myself some goals for both my personal and work life, everything just seems so much clearer! I'm embracing this new energy as much as I can.

It feels like September is the new January, a fresh start!

So with that in mind, here are some of the goals I want to work on this Autumn:

1. Start Blogging
During the summer, I really didn't feel inspired to blog so I didn't force it and took a break. As I mentioned I seem to be full of ideas for blog posts at the moment. I'm going to set some time aside each weekend to take blog photos and try to aim for at least 1-2 posts a week. If there is something you'd like to see a post on, let me know!

2. Reading
During our holiday I had time to pick up my book, I'd forgotten how much I loved reading! I'm going to keep up the habit and make sure I pick up a book a couple of times a week. Reading really helps me unwind after a stressful day!

3. More of Myself
I've always shied away from sharing photos of myself on my blog and Instagram as I'm quite a self-conscious person. I'm going to take little steps and start mixing in photos of myself in between my beauty content!

  1. September always feels like January to me because it's my birthday month and because it is always the beginning of a new curricular year.
I am hoping that it will a good start and like you I am also trying to focusing on blogging and on taking care of myself!

    Wishing you all the best,
