Beauty Resolutions!

Instead of the usual 'lose 10lbs', 'exercise 3 times a week' or 'spending ban' resolutions this year I'm giving myself beauty resolutions.

1. Invest in a good skin care routine
I previously had serve acne which was treated with a course of Accutane. It's still playing up so I've decided to ditch all my different cleansers, moisturisers and spot creams and stick to one brand. I'm undecided between La Roche Posay or Liz Earle. Any recommendations for oily acne prone skin?

2. Finish 1 lipstick, 1 foundation, 1 blusher, 1 eyeshadow
I have a huge box of make-up that I need to make my way through. I want to finish one  lipstick, foundation, blusher and eyeshadow, I figured I could do this in a year, right?

3. Research products before buying
This is my way of spending less, I have a little impulse buy in Boots and never ending up using it as it will break me out, doesn't suit me or isn't suitable for my oily skin.
I'll be using Temptalia  and MakeUpAlley to read reviews.

Do you have any beauty resoultions?
Love Kat

  1. I need to invest in some good skincare routine too. I've been using liz Earle c&p and it has cleared my skin up but I need to invest in moisturisers rather than whats cheapest in boots.

  2. My beauty resolution is to NOT spend too much time researching online that I end up not buying anything at ALL! LOL.

Happy new year dear! I followed you :) Love your content!

  3. La Roche-Posay always seems to get good reviews. Though I personally have been loving (and slowly switching over all my skin care products) Paula's Choice. The website address is: www.cosmeticscop.com.

For the New Year: I need to find a good consistent morning skin care routine (I like my PM routine) that leaves my skin moist and not flakey. I also need to simplify when it comes to make-up. :)

  4. the only thing I have ever been able to use up makeup-wise was mascara and lipgloss - and I'm talking ONE lipgloss that I had since high school! Good luck with your resolutions and Happy New Year! x

  5. I would highly recommend the La Roche-Possay Effaclar Duo which I use for them annoying small spots that just won't shift. I find it clears your pores first making you break out a small amount and then suddenly makes your skin look very radiant!
Love your blog, I'm a new follower.
